Worms Anyone

There is nothing more exciting to write about than earth worms. Did you know they have three to five hearts, no lungs, both male and female organs and can produce 1500 babies in 12 months?Your 1/4 acre plot could be home to 300,000 worms and your garden needs them. They break down organic matter into plant friendly nutrients and move them around the garden. Their movement also helps aerate and loosen the soil.Worried about your lack of worms? Hi Alan,I bought a couple of extra large garden beds off you earlier in the year and they seem really good  so cheers (I attached a couple of photos of them set up). I was thinking of getting my folks a couple of your jumbo beds to set up at their place a couple of hours south of Perth. They have had a couple of problems with growing veggies down there. One has been things drying out when they head away and the other has been invasive tree roots taking over the garden. I think your set up would work...

Joey's Gardens going great

We went up to Joey's to add some compost to gardens I installed a couple of years ago. They are right outside the Hospitality classrooms which make it easy for everyone to go out and grab what they want. They do the job with next to no care, just a bit of compost and organic fertiliser every semester.

Vege Gardening Made Easy Workshop a success

About eighteen keen gardeners turned up for the workshop. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed mixing with fellow gardeners.
