I tend to concentrate on the veggies with my wick gardens but flowers love them as well. This bed is one of my Large Slims that runs neatly along the driveway.

Here's a photo of spuds growing in my eight year old wick Watersaver Garden. No problem with growing them, just remember to 'hill' them. I have found no difference in the hilling process whether you use straw, soil, mulch or compost.  

The Hospitality staff at St Joseph's were keen on some of my easy care gardens but needed them to be mobile. So Clive from Puzey Garden Products built the mobile bases and I finished the job. They have made quite a stir with students and visitors. One of three bases: built to last Looks Good

Dear Alan, Please see attached a couple of updated photos of the veg beds from the original photos on 2 May 16, they do work. We are having wombok cabbage and fried honey chicken tonight for dinner, wombok from the veg beds. Planted cabbages, peas and my wife planted a wild salad mix which we have been eating for weeks. Love the beds. Carl

I finally got round to fixing my compost bins. I use my own compost in my garden plus all the local installations I do. Two 30 litre bags per large bed. It is 'cold' compost meaning it contains worms and plenty of micro-organisms.  Don't get hung up with the complexity of composting, provided you have a good mix around the correct ratio it will work fine. Being out there with a thermometer in the middle of the night only means your compost will mature quicker. I use a couple of manures, green lawn clippings from a mower man, newspaper torn...
