I plant my garlic early so I can harvest in time to replant the gardens with spring crops. A good winter crop, saves buying at $40 a kilo and it keeps! All it needs is plenty of compost and some organic soil conditioner.
Gardeners tend to avoid it because it takes six months to grow but in my gardens it is just a matter of plant and forgot during the winter months.
This lot will keep us going for a while.
